Briggs Metals Limited supply ferrous and non ferrous metals to our home market supplying steelworks and foundries in the UK and trade internationally filling containers for the global market.
Our weighbridge is open from 8.00 in the morning six days a week (excluding statutory holidays) and closes from Monday to Friday at 4.30 and 11.30 on Saturday mornings.
Briggs Metals Limited accepts all kinds of ferrous and non ferrous scrap metals, including WEEE, but cannot accept fridge/freezers, unless they are modern pentane appliances with no CFC gases. Televisions and computer screens cannot be accepted by us. We are licensed with the Environment Agency and DVLA for acceptance of End of Life Vehicles.
We place bins on site for customers for waste metal collection which we empty and re site at their request, for an ongoing arrangement. Or for a single collection. Sourcing waste metal is just as important to us as selling metal.
We are ideally placed 500 metres off the Newark A46 bypass diagonally across from British Sugar Plant - which is a landmark that can be seen from any approach to us. The A1 link is only a short distance down the road. Alternatively give us a call.
